RAFT RACE
SUNDAY 24TH JUNE AT 12:10
There is one race, across the lake, starting on the opposite bank and finishing at Camp Centre.
EVENTS
JUNIOR - three or four paddlers aged under 14.
SENIOR - three or four paddlers aged 14 to 18.
(INCORRECT AGES DISQUALIFIES THE TEAM)
BEST RAFT - Junior and Senior
Best raft is judged AFTER the race so please show your raft to the judges. Do not leave as your raft will not be marked.
A trophy will be awarded in all four events.
ENTRY FEE - £2.00 per raft, payable to camp centre before 11:30
RACE RULES
Correctly fitted buoyancy aids MUST be worn.
Canoe paddles may be used.
All paddlers MUST be on the raft. If a raft that falls apart whilst paddling the swimmers will be taken out of the water and the raft disqualified.
CONSTRUCTION
Raft construction must be at Splashdown.
Inner tubes or plastic containers for buoyancy.
Top of raft must be wood held with Scout lashings.
NO nails, bolts, screws etc anywhere on raft.
